Your recipes, plans, and ratings stay yours. This page explains what Pantryful collects, why, and the controls you keep — in plain language.
What we collect
Your account info, recipes, plans, ratings, and (with permission) Apple Health data. Camera images are processed on-device — never uploaded. When you scan a cookbook page or a pantry label, the recognition happens on your phone; only the resulting text reaches our servers.
We also keep basic operational records — device type, app version, and crash reports — so we can keep the app working.
How we use it
To generate your meal plan, sync across your devices, and (if subscribed) power AI features through Anthropic. We use your ratings and pantry contents to make next week’s plan better — that’s the whole point of the app.
Sharing
We never sell data. AI providers process anonymised prompts and don’t train on your content. Recipe import scraping respects robots.txt. Household members you invite can see the shared meal plan, shopping list, and ratings — that’s what makes family planning work — but your account details stay private to you.
A small number of service providers host our infrastructure and process data on our instructions, under contracts that hold them to this policy.
Your rights
Export your data anytime in Settings → Data. Delete your account at any time — we’ll purge within 30 days. You can also revoke Apple Health access whenever you like from iOS Settings, and correct anything in your profile from inside the app.
